Copyright And License
Authors publishing in the Journal of Law, Technology, and Human Rights (JLTR) retain full copyright over their works. The journal is granted first publication rights, with the work being licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits others to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as well as adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material, provided proper credit is given to the original author(s) and the first publication in JLTR is acknowledged. The work must be shared under the same license as the original.
Authors retain the right to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in JLTR. This includes posting the work in institutional repositories, on personal websites, or publishing it in book form, provided that the original publication in JLTR is properly cited.
JLTR adheres to a strict open-access policy, ensuring that all content is freely available to the public. This approach is founded on the belief that unrestricted access to research promotes a broader exchange of knowledge and information globally. Articles published in JLTR can be accessed, downloaded, and shared freely, provided the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license are respected. Under this license, users can freely use the published content for any lawful purpose, including educational, research, and library use, without the need for explicit permission, as long as the original authors and the journal are properly credited and any derivative works are distributed under the same license. While the moral rights of the publications rest with the authors, JLTR assumes no responsibility for any copyright violations that may arise from the unauthorized use of the published content beyond the terms stipulated by the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that any reuse of the content complies with applicable copyright laws and the terms of the license.
